2020 Brady Vigil 2020 12 09 223711

This year, Brady and Newtown Action Alliance Foundation will host the 8th Annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence virtually.

On December 11, we can all come together to continue to honor victims and survivors of gun violence and create a space for community support and healing during social distancing.

This December 14 marks the 8-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy. By this December, over 800,000 people in America will be killed or injured by guns since the Sandy Hook massacre.

Each year since 2013, the Newtown Action Alliance has worked with a coalition of gun violence prevention organizations, including Brady, to host the National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence on or near the anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting tragedy. These multi-denominational events, held in Washington, D.C., at the National Cathedral and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, bring together survivors of gun violence, victims’ family members, concerned citizens, faith leaders, lawmakers, leaders of gun violence prevention organizations, and activists from across the nation.

The 8th Annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence will consist of a livestreamed video of submitted photos of lost loved ones. We invite you to share a photograph of an immediate family member or loved one whose life was tragically ended by an act of gun violence.

To increase accessibility, the vigil will be hosted on loop over Facebook Live on our pages throughout the entire day on December 11, 2020. If you have a loved one who you would like included in the virtual vigil, please submit a photo through our form. (Note: If your loved one is already included in past vigils hosted by Newtown Action Alliance Foundation, then there is no need to resubmit your photo.)
