Santa Clarita, November 14, 2019 - Brady California and our chapter members in Santa Clarita, Ventura, and San Fernando Valley join our fellow citizens in grieving yet another school shooting in our community--this time at Saugus High School.
Brady California President, Mattie Scott stated:
“We are heartbroken, angry, and appalled that one of our communities is yet again dealing with havoc wreaked on thousands of families because of one person's indifference for human life. We have devoted ourselves to making California the safest state in the nation but days like today remind us that there is so much more to do."
The U.S. Secret Service released a ‘threat assessment’ on our nation’s schools last week. Sadly, we are still forced to conduct a threat assessment on what should be safe spaces for our young people. Shame on us and shame on those who refuse to take action to end gun violence in the United States of America.”
In the coming weeks, we will be out and visible in the community to connect those affected with the resources they need. Please consider joining us in serving our fellow citizens.
