Effects of Gun Violence

Hope and Heal Fund Calls On Supporters to Examine Inequities in Gun Violence

Brady California partner, Hope and Heal Fund, called on supporters in a email this week to examine the spate of recent shootings and the alarming inequities in how the public views gun violence in the state. From Hope & Heal Fund: Every three hours someone in California is killed by a gun. That is 3,184 people too many each year, and the vast majority rarely make headlines. We strongly encourage you to read the powerful and on-point op-ed in the Los Angeles Times which discusses the “everyday nature of this incident that should offend the public consciousness.”
